A prayer for women

on Women’s Day 2026

 

To the ones who are hurting, fighting wars, visible and invisible,

To the ones who are doing splendidly showing others what can be,

To the ones who are in-between, struggling but not too much, blossoming but not completely there yet,

To the ones who are simply majestically magical,

I pray …

that you feel

the rise of the Goddess within …

the reclaiming of the sacred within you …

the re-discovering of your Divine purpose …

What if I told you: you were sacred … your body is a sacred temple … hosting the Divine within …

Would you laugh?

Would you scoff?

Would you turn away?

I know, I did … before.

Before understanding that my true value has nothing to do with what my mom told me, my dad told me, my school teachers told me, society told me, culture told me.

I awakened and listened to the Divine within, and it told me, and still I didn’t believe.

I gave birth … twice … and I still did not believe.

And then little by little, a new definition of sacred appeared …

sacred means “of the Divine”

and then I started to believe …

shyly at first,

and then more,

and now I believe but I do not know what it means … concretely … at this time … in this body …

I try to reconnect to this Divine part of myself …

to let it lead …

sometimes I forget …

sometimes I neglect …

sometimes I still sacrifice it for others, or for some more pressing needs,

but I come back to it.

I continue to walk the path towards embodying my Divine self, more and more,

and then more and more … until we are ONE … in this life … or in the next …
